This piece was part of the “Melrose Emblematic” collection, designed by Peter Shire, which was the very first project ACME had ever done. Each brooch is named after a cross street of Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles where ACME’s gallery was located and where Mr. Shire and Adrian first met. These were all produced in 1980s, and taken off the market once ACME began producing pens. ACME is now selling remaining stock. In some cases, like this, only one or two remain. Prices will continue to increase as designs sell out.
