Helical gears, similar to spur gears but with angled teeth, can mesh in parallel or crossed orientations at 90 degrees or arbitrary angles, even with a single tooth forming a screw gear. They can be specified in 'Normal', 'Radial', or Sunderland standard systems, and generated as Left or Right handed. Handedness refers to the direction teeth lean when placed flat. This add-in enables creating proper Herringbone gears by using a Sunderland profile and mirroring. For Herringbone or double-helix gears, flipping changes handedness, unlike single helix gears that require mirroring. Setting a helix angle of 0 degrees allows creating Spur gears defined in the metric system.
