Antique Japanese Scrimshaw Pendant Bone w Black Pancake Pearl Necklace Signed

This is a traditional Scrimshaw (I think that's what it's called) pendant that definitely has a lot of age to it. The pendant has imagery of two people on one side and the maker's mark on the other. It is covered in a thick lacquer to protect the ink. This type of pendant was commonly made from animal Bone and that's what this looks like although I can't say 100% because of the lacquer. The necklace is VERY long - the pendant would be below your pantline, unless you're 6' +, so you layer it. The pancake-like beads are a type of genuine black pearl.
