What a treasure to find and to behold. I still cannot believe that I was blessed to be offered this amazing original vintage poster. This was from a limited run. The authentic vintage poster features an image by well-listed and renowned American kinetic sculptor and Modernist artist Alexander Calder (1898-1976), titled Tapestry. It is signed in plate to the lower right. Flanking the image in the margins are bold, printed letters that read downwards, “Calder”. Printed text on the bottom margin reads, “Une Floppée de Soleils-les Masques la Grande Songerie-le Cubis Me”. The image depicts a scaly black and white form embedded with orange, irregular boomerang shapes that stick out like long fingernails. A bold yellow circle with a smaller black circle in its center occupies the lower right.
This original vintage poster is in great shape and the colors are still very bold.
